]]>Sourced from fair trade networks, the hair care treatments, colour and styling products contain at least 92% natural ingredients including essential oils such as rosemary, sage, lemon balm, thyme, mint and helichrysum, all grown, harvested and naturally distilled on the farm.
The hair care products are packaged in amber glass bottles to protect their botanical components and no exterior packaging is used.
The ranges on offer are Daily Act Range, xVolume Range, Colour Up Range, beCurly, Silk’n Glow and Smooth+, Boho.
The ‘hero’ products currently are Pomade to create texture and definition with a natural finish; Sea Salt Spray to separate strands with medium hold and create a matte effect; and Glam Shine Spray which gives hair shine with a glossy, silky effect.
“For a long time, consumers have been forced to choose between ethical products which do not work as desired, or products which have a harmful impact on the world around us,” explains Nick Shillabeer, UK MD of OWAY.
“We’re giving them the choice to reduce their environmental footprint and detoxify from chemical agents, while achieving the salon-quality look and feel they want for their hair. We combine the old-fashioned concept of farming all ingredients in one place with modern distillation methods to create products which are both ethically sourced and wonderfully effective.”

The artichoke in the formula works as a protective shield and leaves the hair’s surface flat and smooth, giving fizz-free locks. High in antioxidants to protect against UV radiation damage, artichoke also boasts deep cleansing properties to remove mineral deposits that can cause dullness.

]]>Combining breakthrough research with pure, organic ingredients, Therapeutics is based on naturopathic rather than chemically-derived formulas which aim to address individual skin concerns such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, spots and acne as well as general sensitivity.
Therapeutics combines 100% botanical plant ingredients, essential and vital oils containing vitamins, proteins and minerals designed to feed skin cells and make them stronger and healthier.
“Many people have been to the doctor, the hospital, had treatments, used every product under the sun, but are still having problems. In fact, often their condition is getting worse. The very sad fact is that they are continuing to slather their skin with products full of chemicals on a daily basis. And this is 90% of their problem,” comments Hamilton. “It’s not just about using natural ingredients, it’s also about how you use those ingredients and the way they are formulated together.”
The new offer is divided into three problem areas: products for eczema, psoriasis & dermatitis include Body Wash, Moisturizing Cream and Sensitive Skin Hand Wash; rosacea is targeted with formulas including Orange & Angelica Face Wash, Avocado & Orange Moisturizer as well as a Full Rosacea Kit; and acne/spots are given the full treatment with Face Wash Anti-bacterial, Serum and the Kill ‘Em Dead Spot Kit.

The range includes Volumizing Hair Bath to cleanse and fight the tendency for fine hair to become oily and heavy; Volumizing Hair Mask to deliver volume and vitality to fine, lifeless hair; and Volumizing Mousse, a light styling mousse to amplify volume and provide thickness and long-lasting support.

]]>Organized by TheBusinessDesk.com and Out There Events, the awards celebrate outstanding innovators and performers from the North West business community and recognize excellence, entrepreneurship, growth and enterprise in the region’s corporate community.
“We are obviously delighted to win this award,” said Rivka Rose, founder of Faith in Nature who attended the ceremony with MD Joy Parkinson. “We now export our natural health and beauty products to over 25 countries worldwide from our production facility in Radcliffe and the award is testament to the growing demand across the globe for our products.
“We’ve had a faith in nature all our lives, and we’ve been putting that faith into our products for forty years now. When we started, nobody was talking about ‘green’ cosmetics. It wasn’t fashionable and it wasn’t mainstream. But we’re delighted that times are changing, and that, slowly, the world is coming round to our way of thinking and that our customers across the world are passionate about our products and our ethos.”
Commenting on the awards, Chris Barry, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com, said: “The winners are an inspiration and truly represent the best of the North West business community.”
This latest accolade follows hot on the heels of the Gold Award for Hair Care that Faith in Nature received in the 2014 FreeFrom Skincare Awards for its new Coconut Shampoo.
