]]>The offer comprises around 30 body and haircare products ranging from lip balms to body washes and shampoo, hand cream to dry shampoo, aluminium-free roll-on deodorant and pre-shampoo hair oil. There are also face masks, tinted lip balms and hand creams.
The products are presented in contemporary packaging using recyclable materials, with the plastic in the primary containers being made from recycled material.
The bodycare selection makes up the main part of the Conscious beauty range, and is available in two aromatherapy-based fragrances which are unisex: Vitalising, with ingredients including mandarin, grape and lime to create an uplifting scent; and Relaxing, with anti-stress ingredients including vetiver and rosemary.
Sara Wallander, concept designer at H&M’s beauty department, comments: “We already offer conscious choices with our fashion collections so it is natural for us to have the same offering within our beauty collection. We always aim to develop our products to high and responsible standards in both materials and production. With the Conscious range we have taken this philosophy even further. We are very proud to now be able to offer organic beauty to our customers.”

]]>The hair colourants are ammonia- and alcohol-free and have been developed using minimal pharmaceutical chemical ingredients. Each shade is formulated with plant and herb extracts to leave hair feeling health and conditioned.
The new plant extracts – cinchona, walnut and rhubarb – join aloe vera, white birch, Echinacea, meadowfoam and witch hazel to help gently deposit colour for a vibrant but natural result.
The Herbatint Permanent Hair Colour Gels are available in six new shades – Light Ash Chestnut, Dark Ash Blonde, Light Ash Blonde, Swedish Blonde, Copperish Gold and Light Copperish Gold – bringing the offer to 36 colours which are uniquely packaged to encourage several applications from each pack which is both economical and discourages users from applying more product than necessary.

Caffeine is used to stimulate the hair shaft and is said to help it grow faster by blocking the effects of DHT, a chemical which damages hair follicles. The hair care products are enriched with 100% Recoffee oil which is extracted from the grounds to leave hair nourished and glossy.
The current range comprises: Moisturizing Shampoo for dry and damaged hair; Volumizing Shampoo to cleanse and nourish; Conditioner to repair and create healthy volume and shine; and Hair Oil with added organic silicone to repair dry ends and create a protective membrane on the hair.
